    Dr EJ Zebro has been teaching the art of functional movement for over 25 years. He studied Exercise Science at The University of Delaware where he also minored in Biology and Sports Psychology and played varsity soccer. He honed his functional training skills working first in California as a personal trainer, then as a strength and conditioning coach at the University of Bridgeport for the men's soccer program. It was during that time at the UB Chiropractic College that Dr. Zebro developed TRAIN AWAY PAIN as a way to improve the performance of the athletes and decrease their rate of injury. He and his staff have used these movements with countless clients, that have included professional athletes and highly functioning individuals of all ages with great success.     Zack White comes to Train Away Pain with nearly 15 years experience in outpatient orthopedics. He specializes in sports injury rehabilitation and post-operative cases, including rotator cuff and labral repairs, ACL reconstruction, arthroscopies and total joint arthroplasties. He works with athletes at the high school, college, and professional level to overcome injuries and return to play as quickly and efficiently as possibly.   • Dr. Roopali Hall


    Dr. Roopali Hall joins the Train Away Pain team with experience in a number of clinical settings and a focus in sports medicine.  She graduated from Amherst College, where she captained both the Women’s Varsity Tennis and Varsity Squash teams, leading the tennis team to a NCAA final four berth.  After spending some time on the business side of healthcare in investment banking, her passion for sport and science led her to pursue a career in sports medicine.  Dr. Hall earned her doctorate in chiropractic medicine at the University of Bridgeport graduating Summa Cum Laude and Valedictorian of her class.  She received her education in medical acupuncture from McMaster University Health Sciences in Ontario, Canada.  She has also completed advanced training in Active Release Techniques, Graston Technique and RockTape functional movement taping.  Dr. Hall’s expertise in medical acupuncture has allowed her to provide specialized support to patients across all stages…

    Lauren Leppla is a master trainer and the Director of Operations at Train Away Pain. Lauren grew up in Fairfield and attended New York University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. After living in New York for 7 years, her love of the outdoors and passion for health, fitness brought her back to her home state of Connecticut. Working with many runners and tritahletes, she designs fun and challenging programs to optimize perfomance and keep her athletes injury-free.     Betsy Bell Osterholm joins Train Away Pain with 30 years of training and experience in fitness, health, and corporate wellness.   Betsy’s fascination with the human body and movement, as a dancer, led her to begin her career in health and fitness as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor. Her path took an entrepreneurial route when she opened two dance and fitness studios in Branford and Madison, CT.     Chris Recor started working as the Office Manager for Train Away Pain in 2016.  With a keen attention to detail and 5 years of previous management experience, Chris fit right in here at TAP.  An avid guitarist and vocalist, Chris graduated from The Berklee College of Music in Boston with a concentration in both Guitar Performance and Music Education.  After pursuing his love for everything music, Chris moved across the country to Phoenix Arizona to attend the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery where he was trained in the art of building acoustic and electric guitars.  Upon graduating, Chris moved to Los Angeles California where he was offered the role of lead guitarist for the band ‘Stone Thrown’.  When Chris is not working at Train Away Pain or recording guitar ideas, he enjoys spending time at home in Fairfield with his wife and cats.
