fat loss exercises

As you look at the world around you today, it is getting more and more apparent that many individuals are actually focused on fat loss and staying fit at the gym. But if they are not going about it the right way, all of the effort that they put into cutting calories and strenuous workouts will be for nothing because they’re doing it in an ineffective way.

Because each person’s body and system functions differently, more people could benefit from diet and exercise programs that are tailored specifically for them. Who you are can be one major determining factor in how you lose weight. Another major factor will depend on your body’s relationship between fat loss and exercise. Everything you’ve heard over the years about fat loss and exercise was not necessarily gospel, and more and more people are finding that out.

Don’t Believe Everything You Have Heard

First of all, the belief that calories are calories is false. 300 calories of pastries will not have the same effect on your waistline as 300 calories of broccoli and steak. There are different varieties and qualities of proteins, fats, and carbs, so why should all calories be the same? Your body is affected differently by calories from proteins than it is by calories from fats and differently still by calories from carbs. So what does that equate to? Basically, it is not surprising that the world’s fat mass and average weight have continued to climb – because fewer calories and more exercise was always the prescribed antidote to obesity. Clearly, this is not the case.

Just As All Calories Are Not the Same, Neither Are Exercise Regimes

By no means is anyone telling you not to exercise. However, exercise alone will not lead to significant weight loss. There has to be a balance between healthy eating and the right kind of exercise. Eating fewer calories and exercising more, to burn more calories than you take in, is not the correct equation. The appropriate equation relates more to hormones and how they are affected by how we exercise and what we eat.

Hormones help the body decide what will be stored as fat, what will be stored as glycogen, or what will be used as fuel and burned up immediately. Eating very little but exercising like crazy only tells your body – your hormones – to stop burning so many calories because your body is afraid it will run out of calories/fuel/energy. This method of attempted weight loss only leads to fat gain rebounding and fat loss plateaus.

So, Can Weight Loss Be Accomplished Through Exercises?

Yes, of course but through the right exercises. Since your hormones play such a big part in managing your weight, you need to find the right kind of exercise that will assist you in managing your hormones. This is where trained professionals come in. People that are in the specialized business of prescribing exercises, supplements, and nutrition can evaluate your individual needs and create a type of exercise prescription so that you can achieve your optimal hormonal outcome.

Everyone is not overweight for the same reason. Those reasons range from too much estrogen to too much cortisol to too much insulin and more. There is no cookie-cutter weight loss program that fits everyone like a glove. Exercise alone will not lead to appropriate weight loss. Neither will dieting. Only the proper combination of the two and significant changes in lifestyle will lead to healthy fat loss and weight management.
